A Beginner's Guide to Mahjong with Girls Who Mahjong

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Join us for a beginner friendly mahjong class, led by Girls Who Mahjong, where you’ll learn the basics of playing American style mahjong.
American mahjong is a four-person tile game in which players must match tiles to form a winning hand. It’s a game of skill, strategy, and luck!
During the two hour class we'll go over tiles, setup, rules, and actual gameplay– in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. No experience or supplies required.

Holly is the founder of Girls Who Mahjong, a DC-based community built around making American mahjong accessible, affordable, and just plain fun.
With a friendly, patient teaching style and a passion for building community around the mahjong table, Holly makes learning the game approachable and enjoyable. Whether you've never touched a tile or you're looking to sharpen your skills, Holly offers lessons designed to meet you exactly where you are–no experience necessary, no intimidation allowed.
