How is it to be met as a queen or a king?
How to be a guest in a 5-star hotel?
How to be treated as a star?
The clown takes a chance and a risk.
When meeting a person with dementia it is necessary to work together to create a ‘custom-made art’ moment. This is together with your clown partner but also in cooperation with the "butler" (meaning the health care personell in the institution). The health care personell are key to meeting the stars in the best way. This workshop is a lot about this concept (5-star meeting with the stars) and is filled with tools to make it possible.
My favorite way is music and interactive singing. We will be exploring how to create a fundament in which you and your partner feel safe and build both harmony and contrast. We shall certainly work on the physical clown because this is the clearest and most readable way to reach the people living with dementia.
We are going to celebrate failure. A clown who works with people with dementia is an "ambassador of failure". With failure, I mean not the "produced failure" but the things that happen when we really want to do it perfectly.
For who ? Experienced clowns.
