As Notre Dame English Club proudly sails into its 20th glorious year in 2025, we are delighted to welcome you aboard this voyage with echoes of excellence. Participating in this carnival will immerse you in the vibrant realm of English expression, equipping you for an engaging and rewarding experience where every word you write and every sentence you shape brings you one step closer to competence.
In this year’s flamboyant fest, we have selected 19 distinctive segments to challenge your acumen and intellect. Language is our method of self-expression, therefore, every correctly spelt word is a statement that you possess the aptitude to articulate your thoughts proficiently. Spell Master is the ultimate arena that offers challenges to the spelling wizards out there! This segment has been meticulously designed to push your lexical prowess to its absolute limits.

From offices to universities, these presentations are used in all sorts of life to convey knowledge effectively with the use of visuals, sounds, videos, charts, animations and more. Illustrate your wits through masterfully crafted slides and convince the judges via your vocals within a certain time limit! NDEC is eagerly awaiting your demonstrations.

It looks like yet another defeat—what do they do? That’s how books captivate us, keep us on our toes, and drop the anchor when no one expects it. How well do you know books? This competition aims to assess and enhance your mastery over academic English. Drawing content from the national curriculum’s English for Today book, this segment goes beyond basic comprehension.

Visual information is the most perceptible by humans, and wall magazines are objects that perfectly encapsulate this effect. Instant pointers into a topic engage the viewer at a level other sources of information fall short of.

Linguistic challenges are always fascinating and quite mysterious. English being an international language, also plays a vital role in such engaging games with its wide uses. One of the core factors is the uniqueness of words, as the same word can be used in multiple aspects. Wordplay is a great opportunity for English enthusiasts to embrace the beauty of the language. Our event is divided into four segments, each able to bring out the best of you.

questions will consist of Crossword Conundrum, Anagram Adventure, Guess the Word and Word Finder Quest. Let’s see if you can nail them.
🟦English Through Art
Have you ever read a book where you felt like the narrative would be better suited through images? Sure, comics are one thing, but sometimes we just feel that innate urge to translate the words from a beautiful poem or prose into picturesque art by ourselves. English Through Art is such an event that connects the pen with the brush through a lively, interactive art session.

Venture into the realm of English literature, be it poems, stories or narrative prose, harness the depth of the words and materialize the English into art befitting the description through sketches and colours.
🔵 Rules & Regulations:.
🔸All participants must maintain their institutional dress code. This rule is not applicable to the university students and the participants of ‘The Way of Play.’
🔸It is mandatory to carry your institutional ID card during the entire fest.
🔸Participants must attend the events in due time; any attempts at the wrong time will not be tolerated.
🔸Any cheating, usage of AI or falsehood is highly dissuaded. If anyone is found doing so, there will be no other option except disqualification.
🔸The decisions of the authority and the regarded jury boards are finalised under any circumstances which are non-negotiable.
