9th Annual Portuguese Horseshoe Tournament

The University of Hawai‘i Beach Volleyball program will host its 9th Annual Portuguese Horseshoe Tournament on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. The event includes a meet-and-greet with student-athletes, remarks from Head Coach Danny Alvarez, and heavy pupus and drinks for attendees.

All proceeds from the Portuguese Horseshoe Tournament directly benefit the Beach Volleyball Our Team, Hawai‘i’s Team Fund, which supports essential program operations, student-athlete nutrition, and academic support.

First established in 2013, this popular annual fundraiser has raised more than $350,000 in support of the program and continues to play a vital role in sustaining and enhancing the success of Wahine beach volleyball.
