Dates 9th September 2025 to 28th October 2025.An 8 week course focusing on the basic sewing techniques required to form a good basis from which to make a number of garments.
Over the course of the six weeks you will learn and practice a number of techniques whilst making a dress as your final garment.
Techniques covered are ..
Pattern reading and cutting. Transferring pattern markings and prepare pattern pieces ready for sewing.
Constructing seams and seam finishing.
Inserting zip and fitting bodice.
Inserting sleeves
Create pockets and insert into the side seams.
Gathering and attaching skirt, finishing seams and hem skirt.

Zip, thread and hook and eye fastening.
You will need.
Fabric (10% discount on fabrics purchased from us for use on the workshop)
Suitable for those who are familiar with threading a machine and changing stitch settings or have attended the Beginners machine sewing course.
No previous dressmaking knowledge is required.
