As I looked around, I realized I'd stumbled upon something amazing.
Notre Dame Eco and Space Club — is launching — The 7th National Earth & Space Summit with new energy and charm!
It hit me: “Sometimes, ignoring warnings leads to surprising discoveries.”

It's May 16, 17 & 18 — The Time, The Origin, and The Expedition!
The hallowed grounds of Notre Dame College will be the stage for a magnificent gathering of bright minds eager to showcase their Astronomical prowess and expertise in the field of Earth Science incorporated with Ecology.
We're inviting you to this exhilarating three-day journey to uncover your talents and delve deeper into our origins, evolution, and future, all on a grand scale fit for high schoolers.

*Astronomy Olympiad*:
It is, perhaps, one of the pivotal segments of the 7th National Earth & Space Summit (NESS). It is a distinctive event where the participants can display their extensive knowledge of Astronomy and proficiency in problem-solving. The event is designed to not only evaluate their comprehension of the cosmos but also to kindle a profound admiration for the universe’s mysteries.
The participants will be required to answer a series of intricate questions centered around Astronomy. These questions will encompass both conceptual multiple-choice queries and mathematical problems.

*Biology Olympiad*:
Presenting a golden opportunity to those who are drawn to the wonders of Biology and aspire to distinguish themselves as exceptional bio-talents among a crowd of competitors — Biology Olympiad! Whether you’re attracted by the complexity of cells, the behaviors of animals, or the variety of plant life, this olympiad has something to offer.

*Earth Science Olympiad*:
Are you tired of the same old theories in physics, chemistry, and biology? Let's spice things up with a blend of all three, served with a side of real-life applications! The Earth Science Olympiad is your chance to flex your analytical muscles by interpreting everyday events. Our questions, crafted by the National Earth Olympiad Knowledge Team, challenge you with both multiple-choice and explanatory tasks to enrich your understanding of nature and the earth.

*Climate Science Olympiad*:
‘Climate Science Olympiad’ is going to be one of the most unique segments of our event that challenges your understanding of our planet’s climate. This competition, presented in a case study format, invites participants to analyze real-world climate science scenarios. Each participant will be presented with a case, complete with climate-related questions and problems. Your task? Answer our questions and write down innovative, feasible solutions on paper. Let’s inspect the complexities of climate science together and strive for excellence!

*Creative Writing*:
Show off your writing aptitude in our ‘Creative Writing’ segment. This segment is split into two distinct sub-segments: Academic Writing and Science Fiction Writing.

*Sub-Segment– Academic Writing*:
Compose an engaging article on the fascinating subjects of Astronomy or Earth Science, limited to 700 words in either English or Bangla. As this is an online event, we will accept submissions via google form in PDF or MS Word format. Your name, institution, class, and contact number should be mentioned inside the document.

*Sub-Segment– Sci-Fi Story Writing*:

Your name, institution, class, and contact number should be mentioned inside the document.
Remember, Sci-Fi should have a limit. You can't break the laws of physics here! But yes, modification is definitely allowed.

*Star Mapping*:
Ever wondered about the magical art of star mapping? Get ready to dive into the celestial wonders with our star mapping event!
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to connect the dots and unveil the hidden constellations that have graced the heavens for centuries. It’s a thrilling adventure where every dot represents a star, and every line tells a story of the universe.

*Scrapbook*:
Do you have your favorite colors and the paper of your choice ready? Because, in this event, we will need you to bring your imaginations to life in the shape of your most eye-catching scrapbooks. Prove your artistic mastery and win the hearts of the visitors by creating a captivating expression of your creativity.

*Children's Craftwork*:
A child’s imagination is, in every sense of the word, limitless. To catch a glimpse of that limitlessness we arrange this signature event, wherein our little visitors can bring whatever supplies they please and let their imaginations run to the moon and beyond.

Welcome to the cosmic realm of creativity and exploration. In Photosphere 4.0, we invite you to immerse yourself in a celestial journey like no other!

*Mid-Journey or AI Art*:
Show your imaginative skills with the AI assistant to create breathtaking eco and astro-themed artworks. Just a quick reminder that your AI-generated photo needs to portray something interesting, and you can add a short description of your thoughts.
Submissions should be done via google form, accompanied by details of the “prompt” used for the design.

*Digital Art*:
This virtual event of art is based on Astronomy, Ecology, and Earth Science. You can depict any occurrences, events, or anything your mind says. Participants are required to send their original compositions via google form. (Link is given below)
*Astro Photography*:
Have a good lens in your camera? It's your turn! Depict any astronomical event, celestial object, or constellation and save it for the contest. Find us soon with a detailed instruction.
*Eco Photography*:
Capture what you see around you and your world of nature and send us. Further information will be posted soon.

*Guess to Gain*:
It is an exclusive solo event, mainly for juniors. Participants receive clues, pictures, and scientific works of some renowned scientists, and they have to guess their names.
For the secondary category, the contest focuses on identifying constellations, common rocks, and common fossils by observing pictures or descriptions.

*AEI: Astro & Eco Ideation*:
Have you ever felt like an examiner or questioner? Maybe not, maybe yes. In this exam, you will act both as an examiner and examinee! Your task is simple: making some questions from a given text and answering the questions yourself. The judgment will be on the creativity, relevance, and accuracy of both your questions and answers in your provided mark distribution.

*One Shot One K*ll (Open Quiz)*:
Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled quiz showdown like no other! Introducing "One Shot One K*ll" where quick thinking and lightning-fast reflexes will be your keys to victory.
Here's how it works: We will ask you questions, and the fastest students to answer correctly will move on to the next round. The last three participants remaining will be declared the victors! Questions will cover a wide range of topics.

Then, brace yourselves for the ultimate final round challenge – a secret task that will require your intellect and detective prowess.

Let's turn the spotlight onto your creativity with a delightful PowerPoint presentation challenge! Dive into the wonders of Earth and Astronomy as you craft slides on anything related to Astronomy or Earth Science that captivate judges' attention. We're seeking not just information, but an enjoyable journey through each concept. Picture-perfect slides, a well-structured storyline or context, and a sprinkle of charm will win hearts. Get ready for the excitement of two rounds: first, submit your masterpiece, then slide forward to the finals with selected teams. Remember, the member count in each team should not exceed 3.

What do Ridley Scott’s “The Martian”, Damien Chazelle’s “First Man”, Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar”, “Star Trek” and “Star Wars” have in common? The answer is that if you loved all of these, you probably have a thing for astronomy-themed movies. Or do you?
Prove to everyone that you know your space movies by participating in and acing our signature event, the Astro-Movie Quiz.

In Bangladesh, debates often revolve around current societal and national issues. However, academic debates on scientific topics are rare. Here, you have the chance to engage in an academic debate focusing on Astronomy, Earth Science, and Ecology. For example, we might tackle questions like "Is the idea of Ptolemy’s model unnecessary in every scenario?"
