Mark the calendar for our TENTATIVE DATE for our 7th Annual AJ Howard 5k Memorial Run.
This event is the *single event of the year* that funds our Scholarship Program that helps students develop skill and confidence in music education through private lessons.
Belton Band Boosters supports over 500 students from Belton High School Bands, Belton Middle School Bands, and South Belton Middle School Bands.
HISTORY:
The AJ Howard Memorial Fund was established in May of 2016 when AJ was tragically killed in an auto accident. In lieu of flowers at his memorial service, AJ’s mother asked that money be donated to the M100 to help pay the band fees for those students who would benefit from the support of these available funds.
AJ Howard Memorial 5K Run and Walk event started in 2020 as a virtual run.
Those donations covered the cost of equipment, uniforms, and music lessons for many M100 members. Families in the M100 can access these funds by request through our Directors or members of the executive board.
