Join thousands for the 79th annual Steveston Salmon Festival — Richmond BC and Canada Day all in one! Around 70,000 locals and visitors gather in Steveston Village for a full day of free festivities. Start with a pancake breakfast at 8 AM at Steveston Community Centre, then watch the Kids Bike Parade at 9:30 AM from Gulf of Georgia Cannery parking lot, followed by the spectacular Canada Day Parade at 10 AM from Garry Point Park heading east along Chatham St. Live music runs noon to 7:30 PM on multiple stages with top Vancouver bands. Enjoy the legendary Salmon Bake and chow mein, Japanese Cultural Show, Art Show showcasing local creatives, Sammy Fun Zone for kids with face painting and button making, and a wide variety of food trucks. The Steveston Tram, Steveston Museum, Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site, and Gulf of Georgia Cannery are all open free on Canada Day. Free admission to all festival activities.
