Join the Death Day Association as we commemorate the 161th anniversary of the death of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln.The Illinois State Historical Society will be one of 18 organizations or groups that will be laying a wreath at the Tomb of Abraham Lincoln. The wreath laying ceremony begins at 11 a.m.
Following the ceremony at the Tomb, a luncheon will be held at Abe's Hideout, 2301 S Dirksen Pkwy, Springfield. This year's luncheon speaker is Dr. Jacob Friefeld, director of the Center for Lincoln Studies at the University of Illinois- Springfield. There is no cost to attend, lunch is on your own.
