Kids Wheel Throwing Clay Class (Ages 9+ Only)
Get ready to spin, splatter, and create on the pottery wheel. In this hands-on summer class, students will learn the basics of wheel throwing with guidance from our instructors. Each student will practice centering clay, pulling walls, and shaping forms on the wheel. At the end of class, students will choose their two favorite pots and select a glaze color for each. Our staff will glaze and fire those pieces after class, and they’ll be ready for pickup three weeks later.
This class is designed for growing artists who are ready for the challenge and coordination required on the wheel.
We only accept students ages 9 and up — no exceptions.
Details: • Time: 12:30pm–2:00pm
• Cost: $10 class fee/deposit due at sign-up, plus $26 + tax clay supplies due the day of class
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to receive a refund.
