As we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, this year’s Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk carries even greater significance.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is undertaking its most comprehensive commemoration in its history honoring the lives lost, celebrating the courage and sacrifice of those who answered the call, supporting those who continue to protect our communities today, and educating future generations about the enduring spirit of service.

We run to honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with every first responder and service member, past and present, who has answered the call to serve our nation and our communities.

The Bluffton Tunnel to Towers 5K has grown into one of the most successful Tunnel to Towers events in the country.
In 2025, our community raised more than $170,000, ranking third in the nation in fundraising, behind only New York City and Orlando. More than 1,500 runners and walkers from across the Lowcountry, Coastal Empire, and beyond participated, making Bluffton one of the largest Tunnel to Towers 5K events in the United States.
This year, we’re setting our sights even higher.
🎯 Our goal: 2,500 runners and walkers.
On this 25th anniversary, we invite our entire community, families, first responders, service members, veterans, businesses, organizations, and supporters, to come together for a morning of remembrance, gratitude, and unity.
Run with us. Walk with us. Stand with those who serve. Remember those we lost.
