THE SIXTH ANNUAL HANDICAPPED BLIND DRAW TOURNAMENT

TO SIGN UP AND PAY ENTRY FEE:
$150 per bowler prepaid via: cash (at Paradise Pro Shop)
If you cannot visit the pro shop to pay, a payment link can be sent to you just email [email protected] and Michael will send a link to you
Entries are first come, first served based on when you register & pay in person or online
First 66 bowlers that register & fully pay are guaranteed their spots in the tournament
A 50% deposit will hold your spot until Thursday, August 27, 2026
All entries must be paid in full by Friday, August 28, 2026
PRIZE FUND, LINEAGE & ADMIN FEES:
Based on 66 bowlers | $100 to prize fund & $50 to lineage & expenses
Prize fund is $6600 plus $1000 of added money courtesy of our sponsor Overhead Fire Protection Inc.
Tournament will pay top 4 teams based on total points earned after 12 games | Top 4 make stepladder final
1st: $3000 | 2nd: $1500 | 3rd: $1000 | 4th: $750
The following pay outs will be made to teams & bowlers who did not place in the top 4 (ties are split evenly)
Team handicap game: $450 | Team scratch game: $450
Individual most points: $150 | Individual scratch game: $150 | Individual handicap game: $150
ENTERING AVERAGES, HANDICAP & MAX SCORE:
2025/2026 standard composite average as available on bowl.com will be used
2024/2025 standard composite average will be used if no 2025/2026 standard composite average
Challenge & sport adjusted averages will only be considered if a bowler does not have a standard 21+ game average
All average decisions will be determined by the tournament director prior to blind draw and are final
Handicap will be 100% of top average entered in tournament rounded up to the nearest 5 (ex: 236 becomes 240)
All teams will be even after the blind draw
Maximum individual score for any game in the tournament, brackets or sidepots is 300 (including handicap)
BLIND DRAW DIVISIONS:
Once 66 bowlers have paid, they will be divided into 3 divisions of 22 bowlers each based on average
The C division will be the 22 highest averages, the M division will be the 22 middle averages & the S division will be the 22 lowest averages
Each team will be created by drawing 1 bowler from each division (1 C, 1 M & 1 S division bowler)
LIVE ONLINE BLIND DRAW:
The live online blind draw selection will be scheduled for Wednesday, September 2 at 715pm on Facebook live
All 66 bowlers will be placed into 3 wheels based on their blind draw division (the C, the M & the S divisions)
All three division wheels will be spun and the 3 players the wheel lands on will constitute team #1
This will continue until all 22 teams have randomly been selected
The 22 teams will then be placed onto a wheel, and the lane assignments will be determined by a random online wheel draw
A copy of the final rosters will be posted on Facebook and will be printed to be distributed Friday night at the Calcutta auction
CALCUTTA AUCTION:
The Calcutta auction will be scheduled for Friday, September 4 at 615pm just prior to the first round of bowling on lanes 1-22
The Calcutta auction will be based on the total handicap score of Friday, Saturday & Sunday
The top 5 teams based on total handicap pinfall will win a part of the Calcutta prize fund
Teams will have the right to buy back half of their team for half the auction price
Teams must declare their intent to buy back half prior to the start of bowling Friday night
Teams must pay that half of the auction price back prior to start of play Saturday
START TIMES & PATTERNS:
Friday @ 615pm - Calcutta
Friday @ appox. 7pm | Saturday @ 11am | Sunday @ 11am
Sunday @ approx. 230pm - tournament payouts & top 4 stepladder finals (fresh oil)
Pattern will be Coconut Bowl’s 42’ house shot
PRACTICE & LANE MOVEMENT:
10 minutes before game 1 of each day | Bowlers will bowl 4 games each day
Lane assignments for game 1 on Friday are randomly drawn | Lead pair moves 1 pair to the right each game
Teams will be reshuffled after each game each day based on total points won
In case of a tie, total team pins (including handicap) will break tie
SCORING FORMAT:
Teams will bowl each game based on a 5-point system
1 point for each bowler’s head-to-head game | 2 points for each team’s game total
Maximum possible points for the three-day event is 60 points
BRACKETS & SIDE POTS:
$5 brackets available each day (scratch & handicap) games 1-3
$60 high game side pot available for all 12 games (scratch & handicap)
$10 singles series each day (scratch & handicap)
$10 blind doubles series each day (scratch & handicap)
