Join international Ashtanga Yoga teacher Lucy Crawford for a weekend immersion! Lucy is Emma's teacher and we are so lucky to have her come and share her knowledge with us!We will explore the Ashtanga Primary series in depth, add some Intermediate series asana and focus on fascia and how understanding of fascia can help us to deepen our practice.
Lucy has a uniquely wonderful way of teaching which blends attention to anatomical detail with experiential explorations - everyone will learn something new.
Why Practice with Lucy
I'm thrilled to be welcoming Lucy, an International leading light of Ashtanga Yoga with whom I trained to teach yoga and with whom I continue to study.
Lucy is a unique and especially gifted teacher with decades of experience and a gentle and profound energy when teaching.
Lucy started her Ashtanga yoga journey in the early 90s with the legendary Derek Ireland and Radha Warrell.
She was hooked, studied with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and in 1995 was authorised to teach and started a family with John Scott whom she met on her first trip to Mysore, India.
She has trained extensively in fascia, bodywork and movement – and that depth of knowledge shines through in her teaching.
Lucy combines strength and clarity with gentleness and care. She meets you exactly where you are, reminding us that yoga isn’t about performance – it’s a lifelong practice that continues to evolve.
Whether you’re curious about the body, looking to deepen your understanding of Ashtanga, or simply want to experience practice with someone who truly knows this path, you’ll get so much from this weekend of practice with her.
And by the way...Lucy collaborated on the book Ashtanga Yoga with Lino Miele, the first of its kind to lay out the sequences and vinyasa count that are so much part of Ashtanga yoga. She truly is a legend of Ashtanga Yoga and we are so lucky to have her come and share her experience and energy with us.
