☘️ 2026 BEST GUINNESS PINT IN CENTRAL NY: "THE POUR" ☘️
Good things come to those who wait, but while your bartender pauses to let your pint settle... No more waiting - the ultimate Guinness competition in Central New York is finally here! "The Pour" returns for 2026 to celebrate the art of pouring the perfect pint while raising funds for a local charitable
☘️ THE PRELIMINARY "POUR-OFF" QUALIFIERS
To reach the Grand Finale, bartenders must qualify at one of our three preliminary "Pour-Off" events hosted across Central NY!
1️⃣ Qualifier #1: Tuesday, August 11th @ 5:30 PM
The Bunker (New Hartford, NY)
2️⃣ Qualifier #2: Tuesday, August 18th @ 6:30 PM
Knucklehead's BrewHouse (Whitesboro, NY)
3️⃣ Qualifier #3: Tuesday, August 25th @ 6:00 PM
The Black River Ale House (Rome, NY)
☘️ FOR BARTENDERS & CONTESTANTS
• Free to Enter: There is zero cost to compete in any of the preliminary Pour-Offs!
• Three Chances: Bartenders are invited to compete in one, two, or ALL THREE Pour-Offs to maximize their chances of qualifying!
• Top 12 Advance: The top 4 highest-scoring bartenders from each Pour-Off location will earn an invitation to compete in the Grand Finale on September 15th at Five Points Public House ($50 Finale registration fee applies upon qualification, typically sponsored by the bartender’s employer).
• Registration: All competing bartenders must register online in advance at: https://www.aohuticany.org/the-pour
☘️ THE THREE COMPETITION ROUNDS
Each contestant will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges selected by the host venue. Contestants must pour and present three distinct drinks:
The Perfect Pint of Guinness
The Perfect "Half-and-Half" (Ever wonder why the Irish don't call it a "Black & Tan"? Ask a Hibernian at the event to find out!)
Shamrock Foam Art (Etching a perfect shamrock into the head of the pint)
☘️ THE GRAND FINALE
• Date: Tuesday, September 15th, 2026
• Time: Doors open at 4pm, contest begins at 6pm
• Location: Five Points Public House (Utica, NY)
• Featuring Central New York's Top 12 Bartenders competing for the championship title!
Come out to support your local bartenders, enjoy a legendary evening with friends, and help us support vital local charities across Central New York.
NY State Law, allows alcohol to be served by 18 and older, so all Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
To consume Guinness or other alcoholic drinks at these events, you must be 21 years of age or older.
