Bourne Bay SwimJoin us on a exquisite ONE WAY seafront SWIM tour of Eastbourne AKA "The Bourne"
Sun 7th June. 10.30am. Start Low Tide Holywell (West).
Sun 26th July. 9:00am. Start High Tide Harbour (East)
Tue 11th August. 5:00pm. Start Low Tide Holywell Special Flight Path Edition (West).
Sun 20th Sept. 12:00pm. Start Low Tide Holywell (West).
This 5km stretch of coastline takes in the beautiful sights of Holywell, The Wish-tower, Eastbourne's Historic Pier, past the ancient Redoubt Fortress, Inshore RNLI station and the west side of the Sovereign Harbour (on some dates this order will be reversed). See above.
This is a social swim for swimmers with some open water experience having ideally swam at least 2km in open water and swimming at a minimum pace of 2.2km/hr.
Meeting location will be either at the West end of the seafront at Holywell Beach or at the East end by the Harbour. There will be a midway refreshments/ fuel break (either at sea or on the beach depending on conditions), this will be will be provided.
Swim Floats Are mandatory.
