About Agbayani Village:
Established to provide housing for single Filipino farm workers, Agbayani Village was a project of the United Farm Workers (UFW) with support from labor organizations and students across California. These brave workers were key in the historic agricultural labor movement, starting with the 1965 strike led by the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee (AWOC) and later joining forces with Cesar Chavez to form the UFW.
