Learn to teach Yin Yoga through a functional, accessible, and nervous system informed approach.
This training is designed for yoga teachers and dedicated students who want to deepen their understanding of Yin Yoga, functional anatomy, mindfulness, meditation, sequencing, and the art of holding space. Students will explore how to teach Yin in a way that honors individual bodies, supports the nervous system, and moves beyond one-size-fits-all alignment.
What You'll Learn:
Yin Yoga foundations, philosophy, and history
Yin vs. Yang and Yin vs. Restorative Yoga
Functional anatomy and skeletal variation
Compression vs. tension
Fascia and connective tissue
Yin posture archetypes and prop options
Modifications, contraindications, and accessibility
Breath, mindfulness, meditation, and nervous system regulation
Meridian and energetic theory overview
Sequencing, cueing, pacing, and use of silence
Practice teaching, observation, and class development
Training Format
This 50-hour training includes:
36 in-person training hours
14 guided independent study hours
Two immersive training weekends
Required reading
Yin class attendance
Observation
Practice teaching
Sequence development
Meditation, reflection, and homework assignments
Students will also receive a complimentary 1-month unlimited yoga membership during the training period (a $164 value) to support class attendance, practice, and integration.
