Ring the Alarm and tell the people - the Red Earth Dub Circus is turning five!
Hard to believe it’s been five years already.
What began as a crazy dream in the red dust of Jilakin Rock City has grown far beyond our wildest expectations - and more importantly, so has the community around it.
🔥 THE TOWN HALL TAKEOVER 🔥
We’ve been busy behind the scenes over the past few months, dreaming up what comes next, and (insert big things coming)... But first, it’s time to kick open the doors, shake the winter from our bones, roll out the system and celebrate five years of Red Earth properly!
On Saturday 12 September, we’re bringing the crew, our friends, the circus and the sound system back into the heart of our hood for a full Fremantle Town Hall Takeover.
For one night, the center of Freo will glow red, gold and green as we fill the Town Hall with heavyweight sound system pressure, live performers, circus energy and hip-shaking rhythms.
Five years of growing sound, art, culture and community - celebrated properly!

From early warehouse sessions and beach gatherings to festival fields, our legendary Freo Dub Club dancefloors, hosting some of our all-time favourite artists, building Western Australia’s 1st homegrown Reggae & Dub Sound System and spreading our roots into the South West - it has been one hell of a ride.
But Red Earth has never only been about the events. It is a living, evolving arts and culture project where music, performance, custom sound system craft, DIY production and community participation meet.
Most importantly, the ring has stayed open - to artists, dancers, selectors, musicians, performers, builders, volunteers, everyday clowns, musical masterminds, jugglers of life and storytellers.
The community has shaped Red Earth with us. As it continues to grow, so do our dreams for what Red Earth can become.
