5 Week Pottery Course- Hand building Fundamentals

Hand building Fundamentals is a 5 week intensive course designed to introduce beginners to a wide variety of skills and knowledge in Hand building techniques. You will produce a variety of functional ware such as Planters, Platters, Salad Bowl or Vases.
Friday Mornings 9:30am-12pm
Week 1: 28th Aug
Coil Pots- Make a Planter
Clay knowledge, suitability for purpose, preparation and recycling.
Week 2: 4th Sept
Slip decoration of Planter
Pinch Pots- Mugs or cups
Week 3: 11th Sept
Slabs- Make a Platter Set or Serving Bowl. Stamping texture.
Week 4: 18th Sept
Complex Slabs- Construct Slab vases, decorate with underglaze tissue transfers.
Week 5: 25th Sept
Glazing
You will learn:
