5% Friday: O.U.R. Journey

On 5% Friday, you shop and together we give 5% of Co-op sales on one Friday a month to a non-profit, charitable community organization. On Friday, November 20th, we're donating 5% of the day's sales to O.U.R. Journey.
O.U.R. Journey Skagit empowers Latinx, immigrant, and BIPOC youth and families affected by trauma, gang involvement, and systemic barriers. Through culturally rooted mentorship, community healing practices, O.U.R. Journey helps youth build resilience, reclaim identity, and strengthen family bonds. They foster healing spaces that honor culture, uplift lived experience, and promote equity and belonging.
How Will Your Shopping Trip Support O.U.R. Journey?
5% Friday funds will support youth mentorship and healing programs. Specifically, O.U.R. Journey will purchase supplies for their trauma-informed youth and parent workshops, provide snacks for after-school groups, and cover the transportation costs for youth to attend cultural activities and field trips. A portion of the funds will also support stipends for peer mentors with lived experience to lead healing circles and violence-prevention programming.
