Hi everyone! Here comes summer! Along with summer is a very special artist, Julie Webb.
Julie was born in 1985 and is a contemporarv painter and alumna of Studio Incamminati. Portland
State University, and Arts and Communication Magnet Academy. She has maintained her
painting practice since childhood and is known for her contemporary realist oil paintings of women at work in marginalized occupations. One such painting. "Turkish Bath." was selected as
a finalist in the 4th International ARC Salon Competition. Webb is also a folk Americana
singer-songwriter and is self-producing her debut album of love songs. After completing the writing for her album, her painting practice shifted direction towards abstraction in an attempt to
capture the beauty of Nature through plein air painting; bringing to visual life the themes of her songs.
“Over the summer and fall of 2025. I wrote an album of love songs about my journey
entitled "Steadfast, How You Love Me." As the leaves began to turn, I was compelled to
continue professing my love and to deepen my journey visually by painting the beauty that
surrounded me. The paintings sprung from my songwriting naturally, forming a cohesive cross-
disciDlinary experience. In essence. my work is inspired by my music. love. and our oneness
with Nature.”
