Join Windward Mall, Windward Buddhist Temple, and Kaneohe Higashi Hongwanji, on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the 4th Annual Windward Mall Bon Dance at Windward Mall Center Court in Kaneohe from 3:45 to 8:45 pm.
A collaboration between Windward Mall, Windward Buddhist Temple, and Kaneohe Higashi Hongwanji, this year's Bon Dance will have a full slate of dance performances and performers. New additions this year include a Shishimai Lion Dance by the Hawai‘i Okinawa Creative Arts and a taiko drum performance by Somei Taiko.
Windward Buddhist Temple will have Andagi, Bitter Melon Namasu, Banana Muffins, Takuan, and Nantu (Okinawan Mochi) at their booth. Framed Bohi Leaves, Windward Buddhist Temple Bon Dance Fans, and Windward Buddhist Temple Bon Dance Towels are a few of the items for sale.
Kaneohe Higashi Hongwanji Temple will feature crafts, clothing, fans, traditional Bon Dance hairpieces, and Patchwork Quilts will be for sale.
