About this Event
This 3-day program is Mon.-Weds. October 7-9th, 2024 from 8am-2pm. $100/per student (service fees may apply). For students currently in 3rd-5th grade for this SY 2024-25.
*The 3rd or last day will be an ‘Ohana Day (time TBA).
An innovative science and 'āina-focused initiative at Waipao in Heʻeia aiming to introduce students in grades 3-5 to stories (moʻolelo) and culturally rooted experiences with the goal of deepening connections between children (keiki) and the land ('āina). Participants will involve themselves in listening to a moʻolelo and acquiring knowledge of a Hawaiian cultural practice. These experiences aim to cultivate a connection with ancestral lands and encourage an embrace of traditional knowledge.
