Tournament Rules:
-The tournament will be held at Guppey Park in Dover NH right next to the Dover Ice Arena like last year.
-Scheduled game times are just an idea of when the game will start so please be ready at least 10-15 minutes before your scheduled game, if we are running ahead of schedule we will start the next game early and will not be waiting for players who left to go somewhere.
-Alcohol is allowed, but please be responsible and pick up after yourselves!
-Entry fee is $300 per team. $100 non-refundable deposit to reserve your teams spot.
-This is a co-ed tournament. Every team must play a minimum of 3 girls in the field at all times.
-Batting orders don't have to alternate guy/girl but the girls have to bat in the Top 9 of the order.
-You may use as many EH's as you wish as long as you are following the fielding and batting order rules.
-pitcher must have one foot on rubber when releasing the pitch.
-Each team gets 3 homeruns per game. You can buy up to 7 extra homeruns per game for a total of 10 per game. Each extra homerun is $5. Extra homeruns must be purchased before the start of your game!
-We will be using the same size ball for guys and girls
-Ground rules for the fields will be discussed prior to each game with the team captains.
-Home team is determined by coin flip
-Everyone starts with a 1-1 count.
- A Mat will be used for Strikezone.
-Run Rule is 20 after 4, 15 after 5, and 10 after 6
-No trick/fake pitches allowed.
-One to waste: If you hit two fouls with two strikes you are out.
-If a guy walks with a girl behind him he gets 2nd base, if there is less than 2 outs the girl has to hit, if there is 2 outs the girl has the choice to take first or hit.
-We will be using a safety bag at home plate and a commitment line on the 3rd base line which means if you cross that line you must go home, you can't go back to 3rd and all plays at home will be force plays to avoid any collisions or injury at home plate.
-We had umpires graciously volunteer to do this tournament for us so There will be no arguing tolerated. This is a tournament to raise awareness for a good cause and have fun playing softball if you can't do that then you will be asked to leave. We are very honored and excited to be back for our fourth consecutive year holding this tournament in memory of two wonderful women. We want to thank all the teams that have came out from all over New England the last three years that have brought great competition and great exposure to our tournament and continue to come back year after year. We are looking to grow each year and are hoping to get even more teams than we had last year.
