The Nordic Anthropological Film Association (NAFA) is an organisation dedicated to anthropological film in the Nordic region. Since its establishment in the 1970s, the organisation has promoted anthropological film through an annual film festival, the peer-reviewed journal Journal of Anthropological Films, an online film collection, and the newsletter ZARE.
Since 1979, NAFA has organised an annual international film festival, making it the second oldest anthropological film festival in the world. The ethnographic film festival is inherently interdisciplinary and draws on a range of areas of expertise. It is held every other year in the Nordic region, alternating with a host country outside the Nordic region.
