Be sure and join the events page for more updates on this and other 409 events!!!!409 nationals at Dragway 42s Rock n Race in West Salem, Ohio. Any W engine powered vehicle is welcome but has to be older than 1979. We run a bracket style race as we have everything from street cars to 8 second drag cars. The only electronics allowed are trans brakes, two steps and line locks. No grids, delay boxes or automatic shift devices. As of right now we’ve got around $6200 in sponsor money and working on more, if you know someone that would like to chip in to sponsor the race let me know or have them call me 216-276-1342. We have typically averaged around 33 drag cars each year at this race, there is also a show area if you’re not a racer. We have a dinner on Saturday afternoon/evening for the 348/409 participants. The traveling Lonnie award ( in honor of Lonnie Hall) goes to the winner and is to be returned each year. First and second place trophies provided. There will also be bands and a great mix of nostalgia gassers, dragsters , and muscle cars to be seen at one of the largest gasser meets in the country. An event you don’t want to miss!!!1 Dave Mills
