The 404 Festival's main proceedings launch with a 3-day conference at Northumbria University's School of Design. The day features a keynote address by renowned British producer and half of DJ duo+multimedia pop group Coldcut, founders of Ninja Tune, Matt Black.

Talks feature artists such as David Clark, Gina Valenti, Jeffu Warmouth, Shelly Knotts, Scott Hessels, and Yan Breuleux.
