September 26th 8:30 - 12pm Weave workshop!
This workshop will focus on teaching both dog, AND handler the mechanics of weave handling moves primarily the exits. We will focus on teaching or maintaining a “flip” out of the poles—that incredible “turn away” to get to a tunnel or jump leaving the handler on the original side of the weaves. Additionally, we will work on difficult exits with pressure on or off from the handler. We may use inline weaves and channels with guides will be used. This allows the dog to learn techniques while moving straight, eliminating the weave demand on their body.
September 26th 1PM - 4:30PM-ish
Sequences for Young Dogs and Green teams
Training sequences for dogs using age-appropriate equipment, including jumps and tunnels. Jumps can be set to any appropriate height or have no bar. Short sequences will focus on creating strong foundations AND DRIVE, for a confident and independent partnership. Finley will meet each team where they are at and build on it thus can be attended by adult dogs who may need clarification and/or building confidence
September 27th 8:30 - 12pm Master/International Handling
Finley will assist teams in training on challenging level courses while keeping the joy of training or maintaining these skills! This workshop will likely have contacts. Dogs should be proficient on all obstacles.
