4-Week Intro to Trail Running Programme for Women - Bray

Join She Summits founder Alicia Christofi-Walshe for this relaxed, beginner-friendly trail running programme for women, delivered in collaboration with Wicklow Local Sports and Recreation Partnership. Whether you're completely new to trail running or looking to build confidence on the trails, this is a great opportunity to get outdoors, learn the basics, and meet others with a shared interest in adventure.

This four-week programme is designed specifically for women who are beginners to trail running. Alicia will share practical tips on getting started with trail running, including technique, pacing, and essential gear, while guiding the group on gentle runs along the scenic trails of Bray. It's the perfect chance to build confidence, ask questions, connect with fellow runners, and enjoy the outdoors.

The first three weeks will consist of 1.5-hour sessions, allowing participants to gradually build their fitness, confidence, and trail skills. In week four, the group will progress to a 2-hour trail run, putting everything they've learned into practice on a longer adventure.

Meeting Point: The Bandstand, Bray Promenade.

Available for women aged 18+

Friendly Reminder: Trail running takes place on natural terrain which may include uneven surfaces, mud, loose stones, tree roots, and hills. Please wear suitable running shoes with good grip, comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather, a headlamp and bring a bottle of water.
