Handbuilding – Part B (Coil and Hard Slabs)
This course includes 4 lessons that are each 2 hours in length. This is the second half of the Full Handbuilding course which teaches you all the basic techniques used to create pottery by hand (no use of wheel), but you can take part A or B first and they don’t need to be taken in sequence. Lessons will include creating coiled pieces, working with hard slabs to create a box, combining all techniques to create a piece, plus one lesson where you’ll glaze your pieces. This is the same curriculum offered at Sudbury Basin Potters (I teach at both places).

When: Tuesday nights from 6-8pm from Feb.25/25 to March 18/25
Cost: $150

Skill level: Beginner (no experience required)

• All tools, stamps, templates and cookie cutters
Notes about class: Come a little early so we can start on time, bring indoor shoes during messy weather and either wear clothes you can get dirty or I will provide you with an apron 😊 During each class, I’ll show you an example of what we’re creating, demonstrate techniques and build a piece right along with you while answering any questions you may have. At the end we’ll spend some time cleaning up together so we’re ready for the next lesson. Make up sessions or credit for no shows are not available.
