This Horseback-riding Clinic is for individuals with autism. We will have 2 sessions: 12:00 - 12:45 and 1:15 - 2:00. All volunteers and horses will be provided by Winnebago 4-H participants. Please see below for specific times.
Note that a parent or Adult guardian must accompany the child at all times. Shoes or boots must be worn…no crocs, sandals or flip-flops. Helmets are required - please bring a bike helmet.
WHO can participate: Kids ages 5-20 - weight limit of 150# (for the safety of the volunteers) and siblings-with riding preference to those with autism.
There are a limited number of spots and RSVP is mandatory. A waiting list will be made when the first 50 slots are filled.

Times: 12:00 noon - 12:45 pm OR 1:15 - 2:00 pm
Program Information: The program will be divided into @ 15 minute increments. During the first 15 minutes the participant grooms the horse, the second 15 minutes the participant takes the horse through an obstacle course, the last 15 minutes the participant can ride the horse if they so choose. Extra riding will be allowed if there are enough horses. Afterwards, there will be a designated spot for the child to have their picture taken on or next to the horse.
