4-H Teen Council Interest Meeting & Dinner
About this Event
The Haywood County 4-H Teen Council is a reinvigorated program that seeks to help young people learn to lead others, help their communities, and attend district & state 4-H leadership trips wtih a group of friends.
This is a great extracurricular activity for college applications! Teen Council is also a great outlet for young people who want to change things in our community and have a voice for that change!
Youth in grades 6-12 are eligible to join in 2027. 6th graders are considered junior members who do not travel on trips or hold any offices, but are still just as involved as any other member. Youth in grades 7-12 will attend our district Teen Retreat each spring and NC 4-H Congress in Raleigh in July each year. Youth can also be district or state officers and serve on the NC 4-H Council to further build their leadership skills!
We will provide burgers for dinner at this information session! Come and see if the Haywood County 4-H Teen Council is for you!
