π§΅βοΈ Stitch & Create! Haywood County 4-H Sewing Classes (2026)
Get ready to learn a valuable, creative skill this winter! Haywood County 4-H is excited to announce the return of our popular Beginner Sewing Classes for 2026. This is the perfect opportunity for youth to learn machine operation, pattern reading, and the joy of creating their own clothing!
π Class Overview: What You Will Make
This beginner-level class is designed for youth with no prior sewing experience. Participants will master the basics while working on a fun, wearable project:
- Project Choice: You will choose to make either a simple skirt OR a pair of pajama pants during registration.
- Materials Provided: We provide all materials and fabric, with multiple options available so you can personalize your creation!
π Session Details (Choose EITHER Monday OR Tuesday)
To accommodate busy schedules, we are offering two identical 6-week sessions. Spaces are strictly limited to 6 youth per session, so register early!
Monday sessions start January 12th and run 6 weeks to February 23rd. March 9th will be a makeup day in case of snow canceling a class or if anyone needs another session to finish their project.
- Note: The Monday class will still meet on MLK Day, January 19th. Makeup days are reserved for snow cancellations or if a participant needs an extra session to complete their project.
Tuesday sessions start January 13th and run 6 weeks to February 24th. March 10th will be a makeup day in case of snow canceling a class or if anyone needs another session to finish their project.
