Shake off the winter blues at Visit Haywood's Ice Fest Weekend, January 29-February 1! Don't let the cold temperatures keep you inside - this festival has fun for everyone.
On 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟑𝟎, Downtown Waynesville takes "center ice" with the 𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲! Knock off work a little early and join us downtown. Businesses are open late and restaurants are offering specials and unique beverages around the Ice Fest theme. Don't forget your camera to capture the beautiful ice sculptures lining the streets.
Mast Store's ice sculpture will showcase our community and region's 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 resilience. As our mountain communities continue the journey to full recovery from Hurricane Helene, we are excited to see the symbol of our Mountain Strong Fund, which has made such a difference to many groups helping others, in all its frosty glory.
You'll find a 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 (𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒔 𝑱𝒂𝒏𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒚 29-𝑭𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒚 1). There will be specials throughout the store, but these are of particular interest to best enjoy the festival and winter's colder weather (and they are only available in in Waynesville).
