Celebrating the rebirth of delicious dankness.
As part of our continual brewery features and an adoration of a very special beer, Fermental welcomes Lagunitas Brewing Company of Petaluma, California for a 4.20 celebration including tastings, giveaways, multiple drafts, bottles, live music, food trucks, and more: Sunday, April 20th, 2025.
This event celebrates the annual release of THE WALDOS SPECIAL ALE from Lagunitas, a TRIPLE IPA designed to honor a certain group of 1970's high school students from Marin County, California.
This 11.4%, 100+ IBU beer is the dankest and hoppiest beer ever brewed at Lagunitas and is released every year to commemorate 4/20 and their friends: The Waldos'.
In 1971, a group of friends known as the "Waldos" met one afternoon at 4:20 in the front courtyard of San Rafael High School in California near the statue of Louis Pasteur. They set out in a '66 Impala armed with a "treasure map" on a journey to find a secret garden near Point Reyes. They met there at the same time every day and continued their quest. They never found the secret garden. But the kept looking, creating a now famous nomenclature in their search.
Laguintas was founded in 1993 by legendary garage brewer/entrepreneur Tony Magee. The brewery began as a humble brew house in rural Marin County, and has grown exponentially over the past two decades into one of the largest, most successful breweries in the US.
To celebrate Lagunitas and the Waldos', Fermental welcomes Lagunitas for a full day dedicated to their eccentric craft.
