Newt's story starts at Metro East Humane Society.In October 2024, in partnership with MCT Trails and Metro East Park and Recreation District, we hosted the first ever Newt Scoot and placed a permanent bench in his favorite napping spot in his honor with your support. We had over 250 riders for the inaugural ride, and we can't wait to see the MCT trails filled with orange once again in his memory.
Early registration will open Summer 2026 and include a Newt Scoot 2026 t-shirt & swag from sponsors. Day-of registration will be available, but does not guarantee a shirt!

This event is open to all ages.
After your ride, head over to Woofstock from 11 AM to 3 PM in Miner Park for a celebration of peace, love & pets. All registered Newt Scoot riders will receive a discount off Woofstock tickets if added at Newt Scoot registration.
