This year Hug-a-Horse will have 2 dates available to visit!Come spend some quiet time with the horses in the field. Clear your mind and cuddle the miniature horses and/or our full size horses.
This event is held in recognition of September being Suicide Prevention Month. At Tacktics, we know the healing and calming power of being out in nature and especially amongst the horse herd.
We hope to see you September 18th or 25th, anytime between 4-7pm at 9997 W Deininger Ln, Galena, IL, 61036.
All are welcome, free of charge. No booking is needed, just check-in and sign a waiver when you arrive! š“
We will have blue and purple ribbons available for you to tie into the horses mane in memory of someone lost to suicide, or if suicide has affected you in any way. Ribbons will stay anonymous but will stand as a symbolization.
- All ages (but please respect that this is quiet, relaxing time in the horses)
- Arrive anytime between 4-7pm on Sept. 18th OR 25th
- Closed-toe shoes are required to go in with the horses
- A brief safety talk will be given to you before you go in with the horses
