Come celebrate the life, legacy and service of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the 38th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast presented by Florida Blue inside The Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center.
Breakfast will be held from 7 to 8 a.m., providing an opportunity for guests to engage in networking and discover community involvement prospects. The formal program, hosted by Dawn Lopez of Action News Jax and Anthony Austin of First Coast News, will commence at 8 a.m., featuring Pulitzer-Prize-winning author Jonathan Eig. His latest book, King: A Life, has been praised by The New York Times as a “monumental” new biography of Dr. King.
The program will also highlight our 2025 Tomorrow’s Leaders, presented by VyStar Credit Union. This initiative honors and awards young students in our community who exemplify Dr. King’s philosophies of leadership, community volunteerism, and civic responsibility. New this year, students at each grade level expressed their ideas through unique formats: elementary students wrote traditional essays, middle school students created visual art, and high school students wrote and recited poetry. We look forward to celebrating these inspiring young leaders and their remarkable contributions to our community.
