36th Annual Military Women's Luncheon
About this Event
Please join us for the 36th Annual Military Women's Luncheon! Women from WWII era to today's active duty will be in attendance to celebrate our sisterhood. Our luncheon is always the kick-off to Veterans Day events in San Diego with women from every branch and era to enjoy a wonderful program. Plus, there will be great door prizes!
We will be having a plated meal, so please make a selection at checkout. Your options are salmon, chicken picatta or vegetarian lasagna with sides, mediterranean salad, dessert, coffee, and iced tea.
We are very honored to have Ms. Sandra Durbin as our keynote speaker this year. Ms. Durbin joined the U.S. Navy in 1966 and after completing boot camp at United States Naval Training Center Bainbridge, she had a choice: Air Traffic Controller or Electronics Technician. After careful and strategic consideration, she chose Air Traffic Control School becoming the first Black Female Air Traffic Controller in the U.S. Navy, while simultaneously becoming the first in the United States.
We typically sell out every year, so purchase your ticket early to ensure you have a seat. Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m., lunch and program at 11:30 a.m. We anticipate 200+ women, and it is open seating so you can meet new friends. Please share this event with your networks.
