The Brink SBDC at University of San Diego, Knauss School of Business presents Strategy Sessions: AI & Finance. In this practical strategy session, founders, business owners, and operators will explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping financial decision-making, forecasting, reporting, and operational efficiency across growing companies. Led by Gerry Widmer—former CEO, startup operator, and advisor—this session focuses on real-world applications of AI in finance, helping attendees cut through the hype and identify practical tools and strategies that create measurable business value. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of where AI can improve financial visibility, save time, reduce risk, and support smarter scaling decisions.

This session will be held in the Knauss Center for Business Education at the University of San Diego (USD). Please ensure you allow enough travel time to reach USD and an additional 15 minutes to arrive at The Brink. To arrive at the session on time, please follow the instructions below:
1. In your GPS, please enter “West Parking Lot, USD, San Diego CA”
2. Enter the West Parking Lot and find a parking space, noting your license plate number.
3. Locate a pay station kiosk. Enter your license plate number, hours of your stay, and payment. The current rate is $3.00/hour. The pay stations accept coins, Visa, Mastercard, and debit cards. They do not accept cash or American Express.
4. There is a free shuttle between the West Parking Lot and the Knauss School of Business every 5 to 7 minutes, otherwise it’s a straight uphill walk for about 10 minutes.
5. The Knauss Center for Business Education can be found at the top of the hill in the southeast corner.
