Are you curious about what happens to your recyclables after you place them in the bin? What does “compostable” really mean on packaging?
About this Event

How can we as residents reduce our waste? While everyone knows the phrase "reduce, reuse, recycle," do you know why it's in that order? This discussion will cover the steps we can take to minimize our waste before it even occurs, how to find appropriate outlets for reusing materials, and how to ensure that we're placing the correct items in our recycling bin for proper recycling. We will also explore options for extending the lifespan of the items we already own.

About your speaker: This workshop will be led by, Marissa D’Antoni, Environmental Program Specialist, Division of Materials Management, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
