About this Event
The Experience
Step away from the noise of daily life and take some time to experience your own connection to the natural world. Forest Bathing+ is a science-backed wellbeing practice rooted in the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-yoku.
Unlike a standard walk in the park, this is a carefully guided journey designed to slow you down and engage your senses. By immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the woods, you allow your body and mind to tap into the proven potential physiological and psychological benefits of nature.
Please note this session is an extended session and is 3 hours long. Our usual sessions are 2 hours long.
Why Join a Training Session?
I am currently training as a Guide with The Forest Bathing Institute (TFBI). To complete my certification, I am offering these sessions free of charge. In exchange for this experience, I ask for your support in my learning journey by:
• Completing a registration form prior to the event (sent from [email protected])
• Providing honest feedback via a short form at the end of the session.
What to Expect
• The Pace: Very slow and mindful.
• The Route: We will cover roughly one and a half miles over around 3 hours. You should be comfortable stepping over fallen branches, navigating undulating, potentially muddy terrain and walking on hills.
• The Practice: Includes guided sensory invitations, sitting, and "treelaxation" (lying down under the canopy). Don't worry—we take our time getting back up!
• As this is a longer session, it's perhaps more suited to people with experience of meditation, mindfulness, yoga or have been to a 2 hour forest bathing+ session previously. However, anyone who feels called to join this 3 hour session is welcome. More 2 hour sessions will be available soon.
