Extended Ecstatic Dance and Yin Yoga practice hosted by Mathias Light and Simon Lee at Palm Beach Hall Waiheke Island.
The intention of the session is to offer an accessible space to go within as well as expressing ecstatic moments with the community. Let Mathias and Simon guide you through a journey of movement and meditation in this immersive session.
We are working with the nervous system, connective tissue, intuition and self-enquiry. Held in non-dual awareness, we offer this exploration to re-member our true nature, resonant with the Māori principles of kotahitanga, wairuatanga, and whanaungatanga.
Mathias is established in ecstatic dance journeys, where he connects participants through sound waves with the wisdom of their bodies and bridges their souls with divine consciousness. His love for ancient as well as celestial sounds will take you on a deep journey, and when listening, you will undoubtedly find yourself connecting with your higher self and all beings around. Ecstatic Dance is a form of free dance that invites introspection and ecstasy by freeing mind, body and soul.
Simon will offer an authentic experience of what yoga is, beyond the modern physical explorations of it. Yin Yoga is a fusion practice, drawing on both Taoist and Vedic thought. This offering will also weave Indian shastra, sounding practice, movement and long held postures with plenty of space for introspection and self enquiry.
Please bring a yoga mat, water, comfortable clothes and an open heart. Limited mats are available for those who need it.
