3-Day Photography Workshop for Kids ages 9-12

Monday through Wednesday, July 20-22, 1pm-4pm
In this fun workshop, kids will learn the art and science of photography through a series of projects and experiments. Using the exhibition, The Linda McCartney Retrospective: From the Light as a guide, we will show participants techniques for taking better pictures with a camera, including portrait, action, and landscape photography. We will also experiment with Polaroid cameras and film and we will make our own cyanotype sun prints, just like Linda McCartney did. By the end of the three days participants will come home with a wide variety of photographs and photographic experiments. Cameras will be provided for use during the program, although if children have their own digital cameras they wish to bring they are welcome to.
