SAVE THE DATE: Pride Week - June 21st to June 27th The 2Spirit Organising Committee of Bawating (2SOC) is organising our third annual 2Spirit Awareness Week.
This movement began 4 years ago in British Columbia, and has since been recognized annually during the Spring Equinox (March). This year the committee has come with a week's worth of great events that recognizes and celebrates 2Spirit/Indigi-Queer people locally and across Turtle Island.
Events will be geared for both 2S LGBTQ-Indigenous community members, allies and helpers. There will be different opportunities for folks to network and socialise during this week. Allies are able to become more aware and support 2S LGBTQ+ community members and initiatives during this time as well.

We are requesting donations to offset costs that include: Venue rentals (2S presentations, 2S film night, 2S sharing circle), supplies, resource materials, catering (Mini Drag Brunch/Storytime, 2S 2S film night, 2S sharing circle), etc. We are neither a registered charity nor not-for-profit and cannot offer tax receipts (but a receipt/invoice will be provided). We are currently working on locating a community organisation who will accept donations on our behalf and offer charitable receipts.
We would like to say chi miigwetch to all of our supporters and encourage any group, organisation or business to send an email to [email protected] if you'd also like to contribute to our PRIDE week festivities.
2SOC Bawating is also looking for volunteers, for various duties. Individual events will have posters or separate event pages, either hosted by 2SOC members or partners.
