This is a cultural event that includes five soup tastings per entry. Donations of $10 per person are encouraged and benefit the nonprofit Seattle Sister Cities Association to support cultural, educational, and humanitarian programs. From Seattle's 20 sister cities, the following will be represented at this event: Reykjavik, Iceland; Bergen, Norway; Pecs, Hungary; Be'er Sheva, Israel; Christchurch, New Zealand; Mombasa, Kenya; Sihanoukville, Cambodia; Perugia, Italy; Surabaya, Indonesia; Hai Phong, Vietnam; and Kobe, Japan.
