Hi Everyone,
I’m continuing a tradition I started last year: a 13km trail run on December 13th to honor and remember my friends Tom Hamilton, John Curwin, and Justin Jones. These three incredible men trained with me for years and stood by my side during our deployment to Afghanistan in 2008.
This annual run is my way of commemorating them in a positive light on the anniversary of their passing. It’s a chance to celebrate their spirits and the lasting connections they left behind.

Last year’s run was filled with community, camaraderie, and reflection, and I’m excited to keep that tradition alive with all of you.
Event Details:
Who: Everyone is welcome!
What: A 6.5km and/or 13km trail run, followed by a beer at Graystone.
Where: Odell Park, lower parking lot (refreshments provided).
When: Friday, December 13th at 5:30 PM.
Don’t forget your headlamps!
The plan is to do two 6.5km loops through the woods in their memory. Whether you choose to run one loop or two, no one will be left behind!
If you’re not up for the run, feel free to join to cheer on the runners, volunteer or meet us afterward at Graystone, where we’ll raise a glass in honor of Tom, John, and Justin.
