Before stuffing your face, unwrapping gifts or going to a Christmas Mass, you should suffer for all the suffering in the world or just because you like pain.The Christmas Carnage will take place in Killarney Park, starting right off the beach and will consist of up to 4 hours of loops around the lake. You can switch clockwise or counterclockwise as much as you want as long as you finish the loop that you started before changing direction: only full loops count.
Back in the old days the Dutch Vikings used to celebrate Christmas with a dip in the ice cold rivers of what is now known as The Netherlands so after the event you are invited to do a Polar Dip with me in the lake and finish off your event with a shot of Fireball!
Make sure to bring warm, dry clothes and a towel for right after the dip.
Participating in this event and the Polar Dip could potentially be asking for trouble so that's why you do all this at your own risk.
There are no fees, no insurance, no awards or prizes: this is just you and me suffering away on the trails of Killarney Park.
It could be that I made that up about the Dutch Vikings taking a dip in the water, we'll never know.
