Are you a fan of the HBO mini-series of “Band of Brothers”? Do you want to get a behind the scenes on the making of the series and meet those who actually trained to jump out of airplanes at Camp Toccoa at Currahee?Join us at 6:30 p.m., March 24th, 2026 at the Historic Ritz Theater for a celebration of the series, the legacy and the current operations here in Toccoa that continue to educate and inspire.
-Meet the actors who portrayed the men of Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment and have since jumped here in Toccoa and in Normandy.
-Hear from the pilots of C-47 “Placid Lassie” who have flown the training missions and demonstration jumps in Normandy.
-Hear about the current initiatives at Camp Toccoa at Currahee and how they are continuing the legacy of the men who trained there in the 1940s.
-A social at Wesley’s on Doyle will follow the event.
