Provided they do not occupy a seat. Historian Vincent O'Malley is author of major works exploring Maori-Pakeha relations, the New Zealand Wars and the Waikato War. For his next project, he explores Irish immigration to NZ, and the historical interactions between the Irish and M?ori. It's a project for which he has been awarded a Judith Binney Trust Fellowship and will see him draw on archival research in NZ, Britain, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
